Come join in at 1:30 pm on Sunday, September 25th in front of the
Unitarian Meetinghouse located at 1475 West Front Street in the
Lincroft section of Middletown for a Black Lives Matter Community Rally
with family, friends, neighbors, members of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation
of Monmouth County and faith leaders from various congregations to reflect on
the answers to these pressing questions.
Why do we say Black Lives Matter? What should be our
response to the systemic hatred and violence inflicted upon people of color?
How can we resist and undo white supremacy? How do we create a
beloved community where love and respect for all rules?
Bring your signs, wear your t-shirts and join us to make a public commitment
to a community built upon racial justice and relationships of goodwill and harmony.
Please also join us for the latest in the Social Action film series later that
evening at 6PM Film: Inequality for All
INEQUALITY FOR ALL features former Labor Secretary Robert Reich, now
a professor and best-selling author, as he demonstrates how the widening
ncome gap has a devastating impact on the American economy. It also reveals
how Reich has overcome personal challenges while pursuing his lifelong
goal of protecting those who are unable to protect themselves. Through
his singular perspective, Reich explains how the massive consolidation of
wealth by a few threatens the American workforce and the foundation of
democracy itself. In this INCONVENIENT TRUTH for the economy, Reich uses
humor and a wide array of facts to explain how the issue of economic inequality
affects each and every one of us.
